directions_bus

(Pickup at Calgary / Canmore / Banff)

As you board our comfortable vehicle in the early morning, you'll feel the excitement building for the day ahead. Your friendly guide welcomes you with interesting facts about the Canadian Rockies as you leave the townsite behind and begin your journey along one of the world's most spectacular highways.

You'll first visit the pristine Bow Lake where you'll capture perfect reflections of surrounding peaks. At Peyto Lake viewpoint, you'll marvel at its extraordinary wolf-shaped turquoise waters from an elevated forest trail. By mid-morning, you'll arrive at Saskatchewan River Crossing, the historic junction of three major rivers where fur traders and Indigenous peoples once traveled. After lunch at The Crossing Resort, you'll head to the heart of Icefield Parkway and continue north to witness the impressive twin icefalls of Stutfield Glacier and experience the mist of Tangle Falls.

The highlight of your journey comes as you board a specialized Ice Explorer vehicle for an unforgettable drive onto the ancient Athabasca Glacier. Walking on this massive ice field, you'll feel centuries of history beneath your feet. The adventure continues at the Glacier Skywalk, where you'll step onto a glass floor suspended 280 meters above the valley for heart-stopping views of the mountains and valleys below. Throughout the day, keep your camera ready for wildlife sightings including mountain goats, bighorn sheep, and possibly bears. As afternoon light casts a golden glow on the peaks, you'll make scenic stops on your return journey, arriving back with memory cards full of spectacular photos and a deeper appreciation for the Canadian Rockies.
